1. To undertake academic and policy relevant research in the areas of education, health, migration, livelihood and sustainable development, natural resources management, governance as well as human resource capacity development.
2. To respond to specific society’s demands/needs by contributing to policy reviews, analysis and debates in the realm of social, economic, political, education, health, statistical and economic modeling.
3. To carry out tailor made capacity building in the areas of social and economic development and research and related support services.
4. To take part in local and international competitive research grants, with a view of contributing to improvement in social and public policies.
